As a balloon creative, I believe it’s important to bring joy responsibly—especially when working in an industry often seen as non-essential. I'm committed to making my services as environmentally sound as possible, without compromising creativity.
I use high-quality, professional-grade balloons made from 100% natural rubber latex—not plastic. Latex is a renewable, plant-based material that biodegrades over time. It’s harvested from rubber trees without harming them, and the process contributes to carbon capture.
All my installations are air-filled—no helium. This helps avoid the risk of balloon releases, which can harm wildlife and marine life. Air-filled designs are also longer-lasting and allow for safe, controlled disposal.
I’m a member of the Pro Environment Balloon Alliance (PEBA UK), an industry group committed to promoting responsible balloon practices and reducing environmental impact through education and action.
I choose suppliers who are committed to sustainable latex harvesting, fair employment, and environmentally conscious production. Their practices support local communities and conservation efforts.
I encourage clients and venues to pop and bin latex balloons with general waste after use. When I collect decor myself, balloons are sent to Shred Station where they are shredded and composted with other biodegradable materials. Shred Station Ltd is a CarbonNeutral® certified company.
